The Morton Grove Farmers’ Market is very fortunate to have the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Morton Grove. The founder and president of the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, Dr. Wayne Goldstein, was instrumental in securing our first Farmers’ Market location.
During our first two seasons, the IBJI property at 8930 Waukegan Road was home to the first Farmers’ Market in Morton Grove. The Illinois Bone and Joint Institute and Dr. Wayne Goldstein were very generous host. Property Managers John Kosich and Jay Shin of CTK Properties have been a pleasure to work with these past few years.
While we are excited about our 2012 move to 6210 Dempster St. and our new host, the Morton Grove Park District, we will always have a place in our hearts for the people and the companies who took a chance on a group of volunteers with a shared dream for Morton Grove.
On December 5, 2011, the Morton Grove Farmers’ Market manager team presented the IBJI with a gift basket filled with a variety of locally grown, locally produced items from the recent Winter Market. Valerie Johnson accepted the basket on behalf of Dr. Goldstein. She is pictured below with Market Manager Kristina Otte.
