We are excited to continue our partnership with the Morton Grove Park District. The Park District has agreed to host the Market on Dempster Street, right in the heart of Morton Grove. Visit the Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings and stay to enjoy Harrer Park, Harrer Pool, the MG Historical House and Museum, and all that the Park District has to offer!
Special thanks to the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Morton Grove for their continued support in making this Market possible.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute and CTK Properties for generously lending us a place to call home for our first two years. The founder and president of the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, Dr. Wayne Goldstein, was instrumental in securing our first Farmers’ Market location.
We offer our gratitude as well to Mayor Dan Staackmann, our Village Trustees, Village Administrator Joe Wade, Corporate Village Counsel Terry Hoffman Liston, Emergency Management Agency guru John Hill and the amazing team of EMA volunteers. The EMA members volunteer their time and talents at the Market each week to power up the Market and keep us all safe.
Extra special thanks to our neighboring farmers’ market managers, who have provided us with inspiration, guidance and encouragement: Terry Oline from Skokie, Todd Price and Roxanne Junge from Glenview and Barb Beil from Park Ridge. Thank you to our generous 2011 and 2010 sponsors, who helped us get started in the first place!
Thank you to our many Market Volunteers who help spread the word about the market, set up and take down tables and tents, paint faces, and staff the Welcome Booth. If you are interested in volunteering at the Market anytime between 6:30 am – 1:00 pm, please e-mail email@example.com.
This year we are also fortunate to have a dedicated and enthusiastic Morton Grove Farmers’ Market Planning Committee to help plan, publicize and volunteer at Market events and festivals, coordinate vendors and community groups, enlist sponsors and volunteers, etc. The 2012 MGFM Committee consists of: Rich B., Bernadette F., Laura F., Gregg F., Aneta G., Donna H., John H., Sylvia J., Nancy L., Peggy L., Joan M., Rosetta M., Brad M., Elaine M., Melissa O., Kristina O., Kim Q., Frank S. and Susan W. Thank you all for sharing your talents and your time with us.
Last but not least, thanks so much to all of you! Thank you for sharing a part of your weekend with us by shopping at the Market each week. The Morton Grove Farmers’ Market is truly a community market. We look forward to sharing some great food and great times with you all in the coming months.
