The Morton Grove Farmers’ Market strives to be a local, producer only Market. All items must be homegrown, handmade, and/or vendor-created from locally-owned operations. Fruits, vegetables and flowers need to be grown within the approximate range of 150 miles of Morton Grove. We do not allow wholesalers. Members of our Steering Committee perform site visits regularly.

While there is an MB Financial Bank ATM across the street (Dempster and Fernald), many of our vendors accept credit cards. Several of the qualified food vendors will also be accepting Link tokens. If you have a Link/SNAP/EBT card, visit the BMO Harris Bank EBT booth (near the Welcome Booth). Simply swipe your card and let the friendly EBT rep know how much you would like to deduct from your account. You will receive an equal amount of $1 Link tokens. NorthShore University HealthSystem will then match your Link funds dollar for dollar up to $25 per Link card per week. Link shoppers will be able to purchase double the amount of healthy, local food with these Double Value Tokens!

The Morton Grove Farmers’ Market features fresh produce from several Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois farms. We also provide educational opportunities and local entertainment. The Market aims to bring together the neighborhoods and communities around Morton Grove to celebrate the bounty of our Midwest agricultural, dairy, and culinary innovation heritage. We invite our neighbors from surrounding villages to join us in eating seasonally and enjoying the family friendly, festival atmosphere of our Farmers’ Market.
An important reason we formed this Market was to learn where our food comes from and share that information with our community. We decided to visit the orchards and farms that will supply the food we buy and get a feel for the land, the equipment and the people who will help grow it all. We learned about different farming practices, got to know the people who will plant the seeds and gather the harvest, and gained an appreciation for the fact that the soil that will grow our meals really isn’t that far away from Morton Grove.
